In this paper I discuss issues pertaining to single locality dialectal dictionaries and I adopt a set of principles that are applicable to the macrostructure and microstructure of these small-scale dictionaries. Furthermore, I critically examine the structure and content of two dialectal dictionaries of the area of Megara (Attica, Greece) by M. Benardis and by A. Syrkou and make a series of metalexicographical comments based on the principles I adopted earlier.
