Abstract

The teaching of modern physics inevitably faces didactic and epistemological obstacles. Many studies have highlighted the misconceptions of learners in this type of education. In the case of the teaching of quantum mechanics in which what are interested here, the causes of the difficulties are essentially the mathematical formalism on the one hand and the impregnation of the classical concepts on the other one. The goal of the study we conducted was to identify the epistemological referents of students in third academic year by the analysis of their representations of quantum concepts. The results showed conceptions relevant to a realistic and empirical epistemology.
