Promotion de la santé dans le manuel scolaire tunisien de troisième année secondaire sciences de la vie et de la Terre: thème de nutrition et santé

Abstract

Since we cannot talk about or achieve a fixed state in health, its instruction can only be through a health promoting approach. Such approaches do not only concern physicians but also any learner in promoting his own health.  Health depends on many factors such as nutrition. Many researches have shown that phytotherapy in itself or in combination with conventional medicine is so promising in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. In order to value the Tunisian flora, recent researches were done via the extraction and the valorisation of active ingredients in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. This work is a critical analysis of the theme «nutrition and health» taught in third year secondary school science of life and Earth. The analysed course book as well as the knowledge it transmits need to be partly updated according to a scientific and didactic researches development.
