Abstract

We observed in the frame of the online pedagogical accompaniment of the students of the Virtual University of Ivory Coast, that students and tutors used rarely the tools of the training platform Moodle put at their disposal. This observation led us to this exploratory research to find out the reasons for this lack of interest in using the platform's forum and chat and to understand how actors interact outside the officially established device. For this purpose we interviewed 56 tutors and 35 students delegates. The results show that social networks offer better communication and interaction tools to actors than those of the official platform.
