Focus and Scope

Electra e-journal is a periodical electronic edition issued by the Centre for the Study of Myth and Religion in Greek and Roman Antiquity, founded by the Patras University Department of Philology (http://mythreligion.philology.upatras.gr). Electra welcomes articles focusing on Ancient Greek and Roman Mythology and Religion from a philological, historical, anthropological, archaeological, linguistic or philosophical point of view. These articles should be unpublished and written in English, French, German or Modern Greek. All articles are reviewed anonymously by specialized referees as to the originality and quality of their content.

Peer Review Process

The evaluation of the submitted articles is being performed anonymously by reviewers who are considered experts on the theme of each article. The expertise of the reviewers is inferred by the research field in which they specialise and by the publications of theirs that are germane to the subject of the submitted article. Based on the reviewers' proposal, the editorial board reserves the privilege to accept or reject the article, or else to request modifications, improvements or compliance with the general publishing guidelines for the submitted articles.
