Histoire de la résonance et stabilité de systèmes résonants: des planètes à l’atome
Abstract
From prehistory to modern times, we track in this article along historic path of the resonance wave physics, showing how a simple sound effect discovered in the caves by prehistoric man, she arrived to achievement and uses in almost all branches of physics (mechanics, electricity, optics, physics of matter...). The interest of the ancient for resonance led to major discoveries about the stability of the planets (Newton, Laplace…) and the cohesion of the mechanical wave and in modern physics (De Broglie, Schrödinger…). This work on the history of science is also a contribution to scientific culture, epistemology and didactics. It would also serve to design curricula.
