Εναλλαγή κώδικα και αφήγηση στο πλαίσιο δίγλωσσων συνομιλιών σε σλαβόφωνες κοινότητες της περιοχής της επαρχίας Εορδαίας

Περίληψη

The present study examines code-switching in bilingual talk-in-interaction in the slavophone communities of the province of Kozani and Florina, Greece. Within a Conversation Analytic approach (Auer 1995, Γεωργαλίδου 2014), we analyze a) the bilingual repertoires attested during ethnographic research in the said regions (Μπαλτζή 2018) and b) the structural and constructive properties of code-switching in bilingual conversations. We tackle issues of identity construction strategies via the organization of personal experience narratives in the texts in question. The analysis of our data confirms the constitutive role of switching codes in the process of negotiating identities by members of historical bilingual communities.
