Abstract

The INSPE at the Academy of Amiens has adopted an internationalisation-at-home strategy to diversify training, teaching, and research. It aims at addressing the social inequalities and employment challenges faced by students in Picardy. To promote internships abroad, INSPE has launched a short, intensive mobility programme supported by the Erasmus+ programme to facilitate internships overseas. The institution is also involved in an innovative project with the ALTA Teacher Academy aiming at including migrant children in the mainstream classroom. The 'Languages Outside, Languages Inside' action-research project raises students’ awareness of the advantages of plurilingualism and multiculturalism. Hybrid and virtual mobility opportunities are provided through telecollaborative projects, preparing students for contemporary global work environments. Existing literature challenges certain misconceptions about real mobility and internationalisation at home, while highlighting their benefits. This study seeks to assess these initiatives using statistical data and the perspective of our students. It will emphasise the influence of internationalisation measures on students' professional and intercultural skills, highlighting the need to reinforce these policies.
