Abstract

This research focuses on the investigation of the factors that influence successful educational pathways through the narratives of the educational pathways of young people from Roma communities, aiming to contribute to the dialogue on intercultural education in Greece. The method followed was the biographical method with the use of the narrative interview technique. The sample consisted of eight (8) individuals from different Roma communities, with the criterion of being studying or having completed their studies in higher education. From the processing of narrative material, the family, the school and the children's own personalities emerged as important contributors to the successful educational path, while interesting findings emerged concerning the issues of visibility and identity of the population and the use of social networks in the context of personal and collective development.
