“Aspects of open and distance education” (full text in French)

Antoine Maniatis

Abstract

Distance and open learning constitutes a novelty, which has gradually gained territory and deserves an approach from the point of view of the demand for the democratization of learning. It should be as open as possible, as for the access of potential students, and is marked by the problems of plagiarism and substitution of students by other professional authors, as far as the composition of compulsory, written works is concerned. It has recently taken advantage of various possibilities being offered by Internet, which is associated to the wider question of personal data protection, exemplified by the new right to be forgotten. In any case, competition in distance learning market is intense.
